Antioch Bible Church. July 26 (9:00 & 11:00 AM). Kirkland, Washington.

Topic: "When the Bad Guys Get a Great Deal...Psalm 73"

Summary: 500 attended the two services. Here is the link to the streaming sermon (scroll down to "Sunday Service" section, fast forward to 5:00 mark where audio gets fixed and sermon begins).

Community Christian Fellowship. July 26 (3:30 PM), Edmonds, Washington.

Topic: "Iran, ISIS and The Church in the Middle East." We will begin with a 54-minute documentary about one of the great martyrs of the 20th century, Rev. Haik Hovsepian Mehr. It is my all time favorite film and here's why. This is not recommended for children under the age of 13.

Summary: 42 attended. Great response to the topic and the film.

Pan Pacific Film Festival. August 7 (5:00 PM), Edmonds, Washington.

Topic: "Film and the Non-Profit." A workshop panel hosted by John Ware. Panelists: Phil Cooke, Karen Covell, George Escobar, Jason Jones, Clyde Taber

Summary: 30 attended the workshop (it started with 13!) and we addressed issues about how to fund and distribute films from a non-profit perspective.


Eurasia Media Distribution ConsultationMarch 31, Chiang Mai, Thailand opening plenary address.

Topic: "How to Present God's Word to the World Visually." Here is the streaming audio

Summary: It was an honor to present to 300 mission practitioners from all over Asia. Post conference surveys indicate it was very well-received. Thanks to Steve B for the privilege.

Story Workshop.  April 2, Chiang Mai, Thailand, Eurasia Media Distribution Consultation.

Topic: "The Art of Story in Ministry and Content Creation."  Here is my PowerPoint presentation.

Summary: Paul Konstanski and I tag-teamed on a one-hour workshop for 56 mission practitioners from all over Asia.

Visual Media Strategy Forum. April 4-5, Chiang Mai, Thailand. 

Topic: Co-facilitating our two-day event focused on creating new media for the least-reached.

Summary: 90 missionaries participated from 54 organizations. 22 new languages were adopted!  Here is the Executive Summary

New and Emerging Media ClassApril 25, Oral Roberts University by Skype. 

Topic: "The 7 Things You Need to Know to Succeed in Media."  Here is my talk outline.

Summary: This was Don Eland's very last class as a professor. A total honor to interact with 20 students. Amazing questions! (What is your greatest regret? How do you know if you called to start your own ministry? When is it best to stay on someone else's bus?)

Art and Media As MissionApril 30, Peoria, Arizona, International Wholistic Missions Conference.

Topic: Art and Media: How to Have a Kingdom Influence."  Here is my talk outline.

Summary: Great day with Evan Davis and Jess Stainbrook. 20 others from around the region participated. 

Evangelical Press Association. May 5, Anaheim, California.

Topic: "Moving to Mobile Age: The Eight Things You Must Know."  Here are my PowerPoint presentation and talk outline.

Summary: 25 sharp folks! Magazine editors from all over the country for In Touch (Charles Stanley), Cru, Reasons to Believe, Compassion International and more. Great time. Thanks to Heather Huizing for her hospitality! Great to connect with Jeff Holder (in photo).

Barnabas Group / Inland EmpireMay 14, Riverside, California.

Topic: "The Visual Story Network Vision.

Summary: 60 marketplace and ministry leaders gathered to hear the vision and calling of various ministries. 

Redeemer Classical Christian High School Commencement. May 30, Trinity Church, 2907 Mountain Road, Joppa, Maryland.

Topic: "Seven Things I Share With Young Filmmakers."

Summary: 200 parents and graduates heard seven things needed to succeed in life and ministry.

Harford Community Church. June 1, Bel Air, Maryland.

Topic: "Interview: Story and Your Ministry."

Summary: 150 people heard about story, mobile and the VSN vision in an interview style sermon.

The Barnabas Group / Inland EmpireAugust 21, Riverside, California.

Topic: "The Visual Story Network Vision.

Summary: 60 marketplace and ministry leaders gathered to hear the vision and calling of various ministries. Clyde presented a 15-minute overview of VSN.

Culture of Story Seminar. November 13, Bel Air Presbyterian Church, Los Angeles, California. Topic: "A Theology of Story."

Summary: 66 leaders from 48 organizations participated in our one-day leadership seminar about creating a culture of story.
