Visual Story Network

The Biblebox has so much potential in Ethiopia but to implement a reasonable strategy we will need financial partners. One critical issue is that there is little Amharic programming available and any effective project will have to include dubbing as well as production of short dramatic personal narratives in an environment where little media training has been done. My wife and I will be returning to Africa in May to train both in studio production and smart phone narrative development. We have outlined three phases:

PHASE ONE (May 2017 – August 2017)

Purchase and program 20 Bible Boxes with existing Amaharic programs, Bible apps and some English materials . Place them in strategic locations around Addis Ababa, Awassa and Bahir Dar. This is a test phase and our partners, ELPIS INTERNATIONAL (Awassa and Bahir Dar) and Elshaddai (Addis) would manage the boxes and keep them charged. WiFi evangelists would chat in and develop relationships with the viewers.

Phase Two (August 2017 – May 2018)

Expand and dub 50 hours of specialized programs for the Bible Box and expand the network adding 40 new boxes and locations

Phase Three May 2018 - 2020

Maintain the same number of Bible Boxes and become more intentional in quality programming development.

I am open to suggestions and input
