Visual Story Network

Hey folks; just some questions on personal mobile use.

What does your mobile toolkit look like (hardware, software, services)
How are you using mobile personally/professionally/ministry?
What do you wish you could do easier or more efficiently?
What keeps you from using any mobile device, software, or service more?

I'll come back after a few responses to add my answers to these. Thanks in advance.

iPhone 4 (just got it), lots of apps
it is for communication (voice, text, email). Occasionally show videos to illustrate
Would love to be able to transfer video content easily with other users
I use mine a ton. Still not a computing device for me though.
Figured there would be a bit more happening in this topic given some upcoming events; nevertheless, here's my answers to these:

What does your mobile toolkit look like (hardware, software, services)?
- Hardware: Nokia N95 and N97, Apple iPad, SIM cards with AT&T and Truphone
- Software: Largely web-based, OS platforms don't matter for most of my work
- Services: Leveraging Google, Evernote, Ovi, Twitter, WordPress, Fine Mobile Web, Mobify.Me, Skype, and probably a few others that just don't come to mind at the moment

How are you using mobile personally/professionally/ministry?
- Personally: mobile phone is communication center; connects physical business card with digital social graph through Fine Mobile Web server software, CSS3, HTML5, and some PHP
- Professionally/Ministry: I manage the site and initiative Mobile Ministry Magazine completely by mobile

What do you wish you could do easier or more efficiently?
- wish that connecting contacts to content to information was easier; Evernote and Google are getting there
- wish for more automation with my mobile phones (Nokia Bots is one app that does some simple AI that's been very nice to have)

What keeps you from using any mobile device, software, or service more?
- better interactions between devices
- would like to see more people use mobile services (SMS, collaborative documents, etc) over siloed applications.

I use an iphone thru ATT

I use it for personal use primarily...for minstry I still primarily use the regualar PC although I recently heard about creating TEXT LISTS so you can have pp subscribe to  text phone messaging . I know major companies do this.

Time and frustration with learning  itunes slows me down but I love the mobile iphone.
