Just a Mobile-Centered Guy

Some folks told me about VSN, and now I'm hear to learn more, and lend a bit of my thoughts towards those things visual and mobile.

Quickie on QR Codes in Ministry

QR Codes have been used for more than a decade in Japan and SK. Essentially, its an old technology now, as much so that even many on the side of ministry and tech have essentially moved past simply using QR codes and integrating them into fuller, mixed media efforts.

Over at Mobile Ministry Magazine, we've published several…

Hey Antoine,
In the latest post of MMM you mentioned ifttt. I remember looking at this way back when they came out, forgetting about it, rediscovering it again a few months ago, and then... forgetting about it.
I've created a couple recipes, but it isn't quite useful to me yet. I see tremendous potential, and have talked with someone on the dev team at ifttt about stuff that's coming down the road (eg. GPS triggers, LBS, etc.) and that will be cool.
But, in light of our discussion in the mobile group, do you see a realistic application of a "Choose-Your-Own-Adventure" using ifttt?

Definitely, Antoine, I hope a meetup is in our future. I'm way over on the other coast - Seattle, but in time our paths will cross. Meanwhile, virtual is the way to go!

Antoine - so glad to get connected. Came home to a week of intensive meetings, so am behind in getting back with people. Hope all is well with you. More coming later!

@john: indeed, much of what I've been talking about with MMM has been in some streams of consciousness for sometime. Hopefully, what your group is doing can connect with what MMM and others are doing and we all can grow from it.

@Scott: Indeed its was a great time hanging out. Definitely have to do it again. Blessings.

I really wish more folks from Keynote had joined me in LA. I kept thinking there was an echo in the room, as most of the stuff you and others talked about at the Summit are things we're already addressing here in Indy. If your TED talk ends up here on the VSN site, I will be directing my associates currently involved in our "4th screen innovations" to check it out. It was a pleasure to meet you, Antoine! -john gaither
