Funding

I  notice many of you travel extensively  to do your projects. Just a related question. How do you all finance these ventures?  I am desiring to do more ministry, particularly in art, video and speaking, but so many places that could really use what I  do, don't have the finances to cover the expenses. After reading Seth Godin's great book tribes, I was inspired to start a different kind of blog and start my own tribe. The basic idea is simple: Sow into the lives of Creative Christians, encourage and inspire them to find new ways to serve the Lord with their gifts. Hi David,

I am an elder and trustee for a Presbyterian church in the south hills of Pittsburgh, www.spchurch.org. I oversee our retreat center, a 310-acre rural spread in Greene County, PA. Aside from supporting our congregation's youth education and general fellowship programs, the center's mission is to offer at modest cost (~$15/person/night) a winterized lodge sleeping 48 people, with commercial-grade kitchen (and optional catering), as well as exclusive enjoyment of the property (without sharing the facility with other groups).

It's also where I enjoy chilling and letting my dogs run free :-)
