Marge Malwitz said… Yes!- I do want to make a simpler video-definitely needed-the one I made with Pat is too long and yes the issue of too many fabrics! I'm hoping to take a video in Africa of someone making a simple one.
In the fall I'll make a short video of me making a simple one in the studio here.
Busy getting ready for Africa. Feeling pulled in so many great creative directions!

Marge Malwitz said… I am putting a video together from clips I took last year in my studio teaching the story rope to 2 artists-well one specifically. I need to go to the Apple store for some help putting the clips together in I Movie. It's been a while since I did this. I am getting a lot of requests for how to make the story rope. I hope to get this up this week and will let you know when it's on Vimeo.
Read about Marcia who visited earlier in the yr to learn from me. Here's a wrap-up blog post about her week here and then click on the link within the post for her to tell you about what she made. This video is not great quality but you will see her story rope and her book with the theme of vessels-where she tells her own broken story. Marcia's Gallery Talk
This is from Marcia's blog in Nicaragua-a couple days after she left my home. She used the accordion book with the women. When they heard her broken story they opened up and told theirs. I share this as another powerful (tilling up the soil of the soul) art project you can do with people. Art & Faith
OK-bed time. I will look at your emails tomorrow (if I have time) and see what else i can fill you in on.

So sorry to hear about the bullying-this is something that has been coming up in the news here. Such an important time to pour into your son as enters the teen years. Some how the Lord ties all this together-the art-the counselling-the homeschooling. Nothing goes to waste in God's economy so who knows how he will use this experience in your son's an
Thank you again for sharing all you are doing and you are doing a lot-leadership in pioneering some frontiers I think! AND how great you are multiplying yourself-with the 2 taking the art ideas to Brissy and the homeless woman now doing art with the other homeless women! Fantastic!!!! God is at work-isn't it exciting how art is really making a difference - as a counselor friend of mine said as I was preparing to go to Rwanda-using the quilts and the story ropes would be like freshly tilling the soil so that God's principles can be planted.

I am putting a video together about making the story ropes. My friend, Pat, who is with OM Arts-did one here last year in my studio. Another gal I mentored for a week-at the

Look at my page here on the Visual Story Network and you can see what I've been up to. My blog is loaded with art and experiences.
Great what you are doing in the refuge minstry. I wonder how many people you have doing this with you? Love to know what you are doing in using art in healing.
Hi Narelle!
It will be great to have your experience here. Please join the artist collaborator group!
