Want to come be a missionary and work in media? Pamoja Ministries has a place for you! Located in Arusha, Tanzania, we are in the center of Africa, and we are discipling cultures through media. We've released Nipe Jibu, the first full-length Swahili musical, and we need people like you to come, whether your strength is in directing, producing, holding a camera, editing, music, graphic design, IT, or virtually anything else! Come be a part of our team for 4 months, 3 years, or forever. In the years ahead we're working on music, music videos, a new movie, and even a new animated film.

What Were You Expecting?

This is the text of my message at the Arusha Vineyard on Dec 19th, 2010 as part of the Christmas family service which featured an incredible time of singing with the Sowers Group. The message was entitled, “What Were You Expecting”. It has also been reposted on the Pamoja Ministries site at http://pamojaministries.or.tz/key-articles/life/what-were-you-expecting: and can be found on my blog at… Continue

Opening Africa's Creative Space

Picture this. You're standing in one of the most remote corners of Tanzania, East Africa, in a place called O'lerumo. Around you are a few bomas (collections of huts) - you're in a Maasai village comprising maybe 200 people, living more or less in a dozen family groupings. There are no cars here. There are no wells here. There is no electricity here. There is no one here with more than a high school education, and even those who have finished elementary school are in the slim minority. You're… Continue

"The Christian world is full of action ahead of research. Often that's fine (after all we are just servants of the one who knows the stats very very well) but sometimes it belies a preference for action over planning which is just short-sighted.…"
