"How to Entertain and Engage Spiritually" webinar PART 2 of 3 was very inspiring!

A BIG thanks to our presenter David Nixon. It was so inspiring to hear all that God had done on David's movies in order to make them as successful as they have become.  We had a VSN record with 23 people listening and participating within this webinar.

Here are the links to the recorded webinar (57 minutes).

Streaming recording link (recommended) - may need a quick install

Download recording link:(requires a software download to play)

David’s main pointsinluded

1. Dare to Dream - don't give up…it only took David 30 years to make his first movie!

2. Chirstian movies should; Entertain first, Engage second.

3. STORY! STORY! STORY! And why you should write the end first.

4. Tips to ensure your volunteers stay on track.

5. Why you should be patient and wait on the Lord !  Facing the Giants kept being postponed and postponed, which set up the perfect meeting in God’s perfect timing. (Find out what happened in that meeting)

6.  Be prepared to have curriculum if needed like Fireproof’s "The Love Dare".

7. If God’s calling you to it, don’t be afraid to walk in faith.

David definitely gave us a bit more of a behind the scenes look at what it takes to make a movie.

The first 29 minutes are God stories behind Facing the Giants and Fireproof. If you want to skip to his main points then start the podcast at 30 mins. ( However, I'd recommend listening to the entire thing)

Remember:

Part 3  "How to get started; Development and Preproduction"- presented by Ralph Winter (X-Men, Star Trek) will be on Thursday, March 28, 2013

Got it - thanks!

Hmmm.... I already have the WebEx player downloaded (worked fine for the 1st webinar w/ Brian Bird). I see that screen for just a split second, but no dialog box pops up. It just rolls directly over to a 404 error page. Even w/ my firewall completely turned off, I get the same results.

The download link should be up now. Thanks again, Keith for letting us know about the problem. Let me know if the problem persists.

Cheers

Here is what it looks like when I do the download version.  I get a file to download (see the dialogue box) and then I have to downlaod the ARF player.

Keith, For the download, this link should work (it requires a WebEx player download, that is why I prefer the streaming version).

Thanks Keith.

We are working on it and hope to have it up soon.

UPDATE: Clicking the download link goes very briefly (split-second) to a download page (see image below) but then refreshes and goes to a "404 Page Not Found" error page.

Really appreciated hearing how God inspired and brought about the production of Facing the Giants and Fireproof- He is awesome and His timing and ways are perfect!

Extremely worthwhile and encouraging  - to follow the Lord Jesus wherever he may lead - thank you David and Travis.

Looks like the download link is broken. Gives a 404 page not found error.
