We live in a world of a million shades of grey.

The relativism of our society makes thinking, speaking, and writing bland.

Yet movies and novels keep grabbing our attention. The best stories get down to the core matters of human nature.

The concepts of sin and virtue get neglected as parts of the bygone religious language. Yet they are present in each person, relationship, and community.

As I view movies I see sins and virtues as essential in the character development and plot points.

I see sins and virtue as alive and shifting inside me.

I suggest that you carefully read this Wikipedia article with the view to better thinking, writing, and storytelling.

The entire article on this page is valuable. But this table is especially insightful.
