Prayerfully consider these brief Easter videos

Easter is a celebration of events that happened very long ago and very far away. There are many layers and levels of what the Bible says about Jesus Christ during Passion Week.

In order to help you more fully appreciate what God the Father was doing in the death, burial, and resurrection of His Son, the following videos are offered.

The first 2 are made by Bible Project https://thebibleproject.com/explore/ and most Sunday afternoons I watch a few of their dozens of videos about the Bible and biblical themes.

This first video is about Jesus Christ as the Messiah. It puts Easter into a context of the ongoing narrative story of the Bible https://thebibleproject.com/explore/the-messiah/

The second video is about Sacrifice and Atonement. This helps us understand the mindset of those Jews that were alive during the time of Jesus Christ and how His death on the Cross relates to what they were familiar with at the Temple https://thebibleproject.com/explore/sacrifice-atonement/

This last one is not a standard Easter message. The mention of Easter comes late in the message and it is said briefly. But all that comes before includes sobering commentary about the high call of the Christian life that is only possible due to the amazing grace of God that was demonstrated in the Easter story. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufE2vlXs-fs&t=25s

Shalom
